WOW YOUR GUEST AND STAY TRUE TO YOU

When it comes your wedding is should reflect you as couple. Sure, some may want to stick with the full on traditional wedding, but others (majority now) don’t. Here are some ways to make your wedding reflect you as a couple and also have you guests Wowed.

It’s been almost 8 years since I moved to the south, and things are different here when it comes to weddings. My first weddings I coordinated my bridal couple had bomb fire with s’mores. WHAT S’mores, who wouldn’t want s’mores. She had corn hole and human Jenga. The guests were loving it! I just love how she made her wedding reflect her country routes.

It made me think, what are some other ways our bridal couples can WOW their guests and stay true to them? Read on and see if any of these can be incorporated into your wedding planning today.

One of my favorite ideas a beautiful spring bride is doing….

BOARD GAMES, BOARD GAMES, BOARD GAMES

I’m talking about the human size games, I’m talking about the old fashion rocket socket robots, shuts and letters, hungry hungry hippos, trouble etc. Come on how much fun is that.

What about….

SWEAT TREATS

I’m not talking about the trend of candy, donuts and cookie bars, but actually hiring an ice cream truck. I’m absolutely in love SweetWater Ices here in Raleigh however there’s a few more amazing trucks and carts around. Your guests will be loving you for sure.

Another fun idea….

MAKE IT A PARTY

After all isn’t that what a reception is. A party to celebrate your commitment. I recently had a bride hand out party favors…glow up glasses, silly hats, noise makers…. It was so fun, and the guests had a blast and they got to take everything home. I know I drove my husband crazy with the noise maker.

Here’s an idea for the guys…(ladies don’t be mad)

TV WITH A POPULAR GAME

For those sports enthusiast, if you’re getting married on a Saturday or Sunday during Basketball or football season, maybe consider having a lounge off to the side with a flat screen, beer and a great game on. I know not your traditional wedding, but hey the woman need to keep their men happy to. It’s just a thought.

Oh, what about commemorating the moment?

I remember in the 90’s (my first wedding I ever been too) had disposable cameras on each table. But the chances of you actually getting them developed are slim. So what about hiring a photo booth? There are so many great options, however I’m loving the Lil photo bus Co.

And lastly,

CHOCOLATE, GRAHAM CRACKERS & MARSHMALLOWS

My favorite… S’mores station. Ok I know we’ve seen this around for a while but I love s’mores and being in the south and a lot of outdoor weddings having fire pits, having s’mores kits or station available for a midnight snack is just perfect for your guest to wind down and enjoy an old school family fun moment.

Your wedding is a truly spectacular day. Your day! So make the most of who you are. Weddings are not about tradition but about the bride and groom. If you like the traditional wedding then do it but if you don’t maybe consider something different.

I hope you enjoyed these great ideas, leave a comment and tell what you’re doing for your wedding to reflect you!
